Covid

(Effective 4th Nov 2020 – Face to Face Sessions are NOT available)

Information and guidance on safety around Covid-19 are changing frequently.   Please make yourself aware of current legislations, advice and safety for yourself from official channels (NHS and Government Updates).

Below is Symmetry Therapies Procedure when face to face working is available again.

FACE TO FACE WORKING

When considering face 2 face work, we will discuss and consider risk factors (age and pre-existing health conditions).  Safety of everyone is priority.  It may be appropriate to delay face 2 face sessions.

DO NOT ATTEND SESSIONS IF YOU

  • or anyone in your household, have a fever, a new persistent cough, loss of taste or smell or any other symptoms of COVID-19
  • have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 7 days or are you awaiting a test or a result of a test
  • have been advised to self isolate as part of the COVID -19 contact tracing program or from any other source
  • live with someone or someone in your “bubble” has either tested positive for COVID-19 or had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days

(Please give as much notice as possible when cancelling sessions – 48hrs cancellation policy will not be adhered to if cancelling due to one of the reasons above.    I would however require a written confirmation to action a refund).

THOSE IDENTIFIED AS BEING HIGH / MODERATE RISK

Please let me know prior to booking an appointment if you have been identified as being at high risk of infection.

It may not be possible to see you face to face if you are in the “high risk group”.  If you have one of the conditions in the “moderate risk” groups we will discuss the benefits of treatment over potential risk factors, following government guidelines.  Wherever possible remote working is encouraged.

Please be aware that if I contract Covid-19 I may be obliged to inform the NHS of people I’ve been in contact with (face-to-face).  I may need to share your name and contact details, but not the context in which I know you.   However, you may be contacted by the NHS.

If face to face sessions have started and there is a local/national change to lockdown restrictions – please bear in mind that sessions will be required to move to remote working or paused.

[Please note you will be asked to sign a waiver form at your first session].

(A risk assessment is available upon request).
